Eloise Stenner

Eloise Stenner handles patent work in the engineering, materials and consumer products field. Eloise joined Reddie & Grose in January 2021 after graduating from the University of Nottingham with a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. During her degree she developed a particular interest in medical devices, undertaking her individual project in this area. Her project was focused on researching and developing a prototype for an Anterior Cruciate Ligament rehabilitation device, which would provide real time feedback to the user. The aim was to reduce the number of patients that re-ruptured their ACL during post-operative reha

Joseph Duffy

Joseph Duffy is a trainee patent attorney in the Engineering, Manufacturing, and Consumer Products team. Joseph joined Reddie & Grose in January 2021 after graduating from the University of Cambridge with an BA, MSci in Natural Sciences, specialising in Materials Science.During his undergraduate degree he undertook modules in metallurgy, semiconductors, nuclear materials, and materials chemistry, as well as a literature review on “the applications of auxetic materials”. Additionally, he completed a research project into the thermal shock resistance of a novel candidate material for diesel particulate filters. In his final year he carried out research as part of the Department of Materials Science & Metallurgy Rolls Royce UTC group. This project focussed on “the effect of surface modifications on the fatigue behaviour of nickel-based superalloys”.

Daniel Marchant

Daniel Marchant handles patent work in the engineering, materials and consumer products fields. Daniel joined Reddie & Grose in January 2021 after graduating from the University of Cambridge with a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering (via Natural Sciences). At University, Daniel’s final year research project involved the design of a batch acoustofluidic separator that could act as a cheap point-of-care diagnostic device for Chagas disease. Daniel also completed a summer research placement in computational chemistry at the University of Pittsburgh where he co-authored a paper on ‘Branched‐Selective Direct α‐Alkylation of Cyclic Ketones with Simple Alkenes’. Daniel also spent time as a research intern at Imperial College London and Université de Bordeaux where he worked with acoustic tweezers.

Xiaoxi Zhu

Dr Xiaoxi Zhu joined Reddie & Grose in January 2021 and handles patents in the fields of electronic, electrical engineering and software. Xiaoxi completed a PhD and Master degrees in Electrical Engineering at University of Cambridge. She also achieved a Bachelor degree in Materials Science and Engineering at Imperial College London. Xiaoxi’s PhD research focused on investigation of functional inks employing graphene and related two-dimensional (2D) materials and their applications in printable and flexible electronic devices.
