
Robert Wiseman handles patent work in the fields of electronics, electrical devices, software, and medical fields.
Robert joined Reddie & Grose in 2016 after graduating from the University of Leicester with a BSci in Physics for which he was awarded the departmental prize of Physics and Astronomy for the best performing final year student. During his course, Robert designed and built the detector stage of a shortwave radio receiver as part of a group research project. He also undertook a British Heart Foundation research project during his final year, in which ultra-fast ultrasound was tested as a method of stroke prevention.
Robert has extensive experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications before the European Patent Office and the UK Intellectual Property Office and handles patent work in complex technologies across mechanical and electrical subject matter, AI, and software. He also has a strong interest in medical technology, handling cases related to medical devices and AI-driven healthcare solutions.
Robert works with clients ranging from early-stage start-ups to multinational corporations, advising on protecting innovations and aligning IP strategy with business objectives.
Within Reddie & Grose, Robert leads a team focused on medical devices, as well as being involved in the digital healthcare sector.
Outside of work, Robert enjoys music. He plays the guitar and piano, and has toured Paris in a steel band. He also plays a variety of sports including football, golf, and enjoys snowboarding and windsurfing when he can.
