Ethan is a UK Patent Attorney with broad technical expertise spanning engineering, materials, space, and consumer products.
Ethan joined Reddie & Grose in 2022 after beginning his career as an engineer in the aerospace industry. This means that he understands, first-hand, the research and development process from an inventor’s perspective.
Ethan advises a diverse client base, from sole inventors and university researchers to multinational companies. He has particular experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications across numerous technical fields, and in managing international patent portfolios across key global jurisdictions. Ethan is particularly passionate about supporting start-ups, helping them secure and leverage their IP to drive growth and investment.
At Reddie & Grose, Ethan is an active member of the Space, Medical Device, and Start-Up groups. He also contributes thought leadership through blog articles that explore market trends and emerging technologies from a patent perspective.
Ethan holds a Master’s degree in aerospace engineering, with specialist knowledge in high-performance materials, airframe structures, simulation-driven design, thermodynamics, propulsion, and flight dynamics and control. He also brings strong expertise in materials science and manufacturing processes, developed during his tenure as an engineer.
