Reddie & Grose LLP is pleased to announce that it has promoted four of its Senior Associates to Partners, with effect from 1 April 2015, marking a significant enlargement of the partnership in two offices.

The promotions bring the total number of partners to 21 and reflect the firm’s plans for securing its leadership position across a range of IP services and in industry sectors ranging from electronics to advanced engineering and medical devices to consumer goods.

Pete specialises in the electronics and software fields, including broadcasting technologies, control systems and smart phone apps. He has extensive expertise in drafting patent applications and running cross jurisdictional prosecution for domestic and overseas clients, ranging from start-ups to multinationals. Pete also advises on infringement issues, helping his clients to make the right commercial decisions when faced with competitors’ patent rights.

Robert has a track record of obtaining patents for clients, particularly in the US, in this technically and legally complex area.

Tom Sharman is a dual-qualified patent and trade mark attorney in our advanced engineering team, working with UK-based start-ups, SMEs and multinationals in the mechanical engineering, automotive engineering and consumer products sectors. Tom handles all aspects of the running of patent, trade mark and registered design portfolios, working with clients to develop and manage their IP protection in the UK and key global markets and advising generally on IP issues affecting their businesses.

William Ponder has a wealth of experience dealing with patent drafting, patent prosecution and contentious matters, and has enjoyed considerable success before the EPO Opposition and Appeal Boards. He has a background in physics, but handles a broad range of technologies, from mechanical inventions and medical devices to microprocessors and software. Will advises some of the firm’s largest overseas clients and manages large patent portfolios, covering many different jurisdictions. He also advises UK based businesses and individuals, particularly in the Cambridge area.
