
Robert Sackin is a European and UK patent attorney with around 25 years’ experience helping clients protect and maximise the value of their technology, from ambitious start-ups to some of the world’s biggest tech companies.
Based in Cambridge, UK, Robert works with a global client base stretching from the US to China and across Europe. Robert leads the digital health business development team at Reddie & Grose LLP and also heads our BD team for China.

Robert advises on a wide range of technologies, including semiconductor and optical devices (especially industrial lasers), communications, cyber security, financial services technology (wide-ranging from interdealer brokerage to payment technology), and medical devices. Robert also has niche expertise in software patents at the edges of patentability. Over the years, Robert has enjoyed pushing at the edges of possibility for clients. Robert has particular expertise in AI, which was part of his Master’s degree in the mid-1990s, fintech including blockchain, and medtech. Robert looks forward to quantum computing breakthroughs which he built the foundations to support this during his PhD research using MRI that was finished in 2000.
