Dr Xiaoxi Zhu joined Reddie & Grose in January 2021 and handles patents in the fields of electronic, electrical engineering and software.

Xiaoxi completed a PhD and Master degrees in Electrical Engineering at University of Cambridge. She also achieved a Bachelor degree in Materials Science and Engineering at Imperial College London.

Xiaoxi’s PhD research focused on investigation of functional inks employing graphene and related two-dimensional (2D) materials and their applications in printable and flexible electronic devices. Her PhD project was in collaboration with a multinational pharmaceutical company and her study contributed to their R&D research in polymer-based functional inks. Her main research work was published in leading academic journals, e.g. Chemical Society Reviews, Advanced Functional Materials and Science Advances. She also co-authored a book based on graphene and related 2D materials for printable electronics.

She also participated an entrepreneurship programme at Cambridge Judge Business School, conducting early stage commercialisation for emerging technologies.

Xiaoxi is fluent in Chinese. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, yoga and spending time with her family.
