Thomas Spencer is a trainee patent attorney in the Engineering, Materials and Consumer Products group.
Thomas joined Reddie & Grose in September 2025 having graduated from the University of Bath with an MEng in Mechanical Engineering. While at university, Thomas completed an industrial placement year performing simulation and structural analysis at a high-performance automotive electric motor manufacturer. Afterwards he got involved with the design of aerostructures with the university rocket team and in his final year he studied a range of topics including computational fluid dynamics, composite materials, advanced control, and spacecraft engineering. He completed his master’s project on the design and simulation of adaptive control systems for robotic machining applications. Thomas is particularly passionate about cars and has professional interests in transport technology and automation and control systems.
Outside of work, Thomas dabbles with Olympic weightlifting (when he’s not injured) and is a keen supporter of Fulham FC. He also enjoys visiting museums and art galleries, and going out to eat.
