Philippa Draper joined Reddie & Grose in 2026 and is a trainee patent attorney in the Life Sciences team.
Philippa completed her bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences at Loughborough University and was awarded a Prize of Academic Excellence for achieving the highest degree mark in her cohort.
As part of her final year project, she conducted primary research on the applications of polygenic risk scores in preimplantation genetic testing and the implications of using genomic information to inform embryo selection. This developed her broader interest in translating research in areas such as personalised health, preventive medicine, and longevity into technologies that improve long-term health. Her background as a GB athlete has further shaped this interest, predominantly in the biology of exercise performance and recovery.
Outside of work, Philippa has a strong passion for sport. She is currently a recreational road cyclist but has previously competed internationally at a UCI level. She has also been involved in Great Britain’s development pathways for speed skating, weightlifting, and skeleton.
