Mary Anyasodo is a Dutch speaker who joined Reddie & Grose London in September 2022. Upon successful completion of the Trade Mark Law and Practice Certificate Mary is a Part- Qualified Trade Mark Attorney.
Mary’s role consists of supporting the trade mark team with the general management of client trade mark portfolios, navigating contentious matters should they arise.
Mary constructs legal arguments and advises on strategy to overcome registration objections issued by Intellectual Property Offices. She provides analysis on the potential legal and commercial risks involved in trade mark filling strategies, including performing trade mark searches, regularly reviewing trade mark watches and competitor research to provide comprehensive support for the client’s portfolio expansion.
Mary prepares articles for the firm website on topical matters in the trade mark law sector, some of which, have been published wider in independent trade mark newsletters.
Mary graduated from the University of Surrey in 2020 having completed her Law LLB and a year in the industry gaining valuable experience in a London law firm. A keen interest for trade mark law was developed after she elected an intellectual property law module in her final year.
Mary is from Nigeria & The Netherlands. Outside of work she enjoys playing basketball (previously in a university competitive league), and attending art exhibitions, particularly surrealist exhibitions.
