Jon Gilbert handles patents in the fields of electronics, electrical devices and software.
Jon joined Reddie & Grose in 2013 having graduated from the University of Oxford with a Master’s degree in Physics. He handles work in the fields of electronics, electrical devices and software.
Jon has experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications in areas of technology including telecommunications, signal processing, video, audio and still-image processing, encryption, network security and control systems. His practice involves working with clients ranging from start-ups through to multinational corporations.
Jon qualified as a UK and European Patent Attorney in 2017. He was awarded the Gill Prize for the highest overall marks in the 2016 UK qualifying examinations, and the Michael Jones Prize for the highest mark in the examination on Amendment of Specifications.
Outside of work, Jon is a keen cricketer and follows other sports, including football and ice hockey. He also enjoys reading, especially science writing and books by Sebastian Faulks.
