Bruce joined Reddie & Grose in September 2015 after working as a Science secondary teacher for two years in the North East of England. He developed a keen interest in intellectual property after learning about his great-grandfather’s patents for a boiler company.
Bruce is a dual-qualified patent attorney with experience of drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the UK, Europe and further afield for a wide range of clients ranging from individual inventors to large multinational corporations. His practice covers a variety of technical fields including electronic components, amplifiers and transformers, telecommunication systems, semiconductor devices, consumer electronics, computer implemented inventions. Bruce also has experience in the digital healthcare sector, including ultrasound sensors and bioinformatics, and green-tech inventions. He has also handled registered designs in the UK, Europe and internationally.
Bruce is an examiner for UK Advanced IP Law and Practice (FD1), one of the Final Diploma examinations for qualifying as a UK patent attorney.
In his spare time, Bruce enjoys playing a variety of sports including squash, golf, cricket, swimming and football.
