The EU and the UK have agreed a six-month extension to the Brexit date. The UK will therefore not be leaving the European Union until 31 October 2019.
It is therefore business as usual for a few more months. No new UK “clones” of EU TM and Community design rights will be created until the UK leaves the EU.
The new deadline is flexible and therefore it’s possible that the UK will leave earlier than this.
We continue to monitor all developments and will provide updates.
Reddie & Grose will continue to handle all UK and pan-EU IP rights in the run up to and after the new Brexit date.
