Julie joined the firm in 2000 and was made a partner in 2005. Julie advises UK and overseas clients on patent and design matters. She handles patent work in pure chemical, applied chemical and general mechanical fields, including building materials, food technology, the tobacco industry, and packaging. Julie has experience of filing and prosecuting patent applications before the UK and European Patent Offices, of handling oppositions before the European Patent Office and of filing both UK and Community design applications. She also coordinates filing and prosecution of patent and design applications and regularly organises patent and design infringement clearance searches for her clients in countries around the world.
She is a fan of P.G. Wodehouse, Audrey Hepburn and Billie Holiday and enjoys vegetarian cookery.
