Consultant

Richard joined the partnership in 1970 and became a consultant in October 2007.

Richard's area of expertise is patent and trade mark advice (contentious and non-contentious). He has extensive experience in patent work in the electrical and electronic fields, including software and communications. He has acted for a wide range of trade mark clients in many fields of industry and commerce, including UK and OHIM oppositions and appeals. He has experience as a patent attorney of complex patent infringement and validity litigation before the London High Court and the Patents County Court.

In his capacity as Senior Partner and consultant, Richard has travelled to many other jurisdictions visiting clients and attorneys throughout the globe. His interests include rambling, choral singing, gardening and church bell-ringing.
