Beverley joined Reddie & Grose as its part-time legal advisor in 1997 following 10 years in legal practice latterly as a partner at Hopkins & Wood. She started her career as a research chemist and then qualified both as a barrister and solicitor specialising in intellectual property law. During her time in private practice, she advised on all aspects of both contentious and non-contentious IP law and conducted numerous high profile cases in the Courts. These included the Jif lemon passing-off action which went to the House of Lords, the resealable band patent “nappy wars” for Molnlycke and the Unilever v Chefaro/Akzo biotechnology patent cases.
Beverley advises R&G's clients on varying aspects of intellectual property and commercial law. She advises on pre-litigation matters, all aspects of High Court and County Court procedure and negotiates and drafts commercial agreements including assignments, licences, confidentiality agreements and dipute settlement agreements. She also handles the worldwide registration of patent, design and trade mark portfolios.
