Espa@ceNet: a Europewide initiative between the European Patent Office and national offices to make patent information available freely. Has GB, EP and PCT specifications from 1996. A worldwide file is also available.
Delphion
This was known as the ibm-patents site. Has databases of US patents from 1974 and design patents from 1977. EP specifications are available from 1980; PCT's from 1990 and Japanese specifications from 1976.
United States Patent and Trademark Office
The web site of the United States Patent and Trademark Office. There are two patents databases: "bibliographic" contains front page data of US patents from 1976; and "full text" houses the complete patent specifications with images.
