Paul joined the firm in 1967 and was invited to join the partnership in 1972. He has spent the last six years as managing partner and chairman of the management committee.

He handles patent and trade mark work (both non-contentious and contentious). His areas of expertise in patent work are in the mechanical, physics-related and other general application sectors. He also has experience of litigation and advises on industrial copyright and designs. Clients vary in size from individuals and start-ups to established international corporations.

In his spare time, he enjoys photography, gardening and cookery.
