Jo joined the firm in 1983 and was asked to join the partnership in 1988. Prior to joining, Jo worked with the Institute of Naval Medicine (MoD), Admiralty Marine Technology Establishment Physiological Laboratory and Norwegian Underwater Technology Centre. His areas of expertise include chemistry, pharmacology, microbiology, biotechnology, genetic engineering, physiology, pharmacogenomics and proteomics, plant and animal protection, medical instruments and offshore technology. Jo has provided client companies with Patent Agent Reports for Public Offerings, and with strategic IP advice which has helped them achieve successful funding of various clinical trials (including migraine and prostate cancer treatments). Jo is a classic car enthusiast and sailor. Memberships - Founding member of the Eastern Region Biotech Initiative Board of Directors 2000-2005 (ERBI)
