Tom joined the firm in September 2005 having graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2005 with a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering. He handles UK and European patent work in the general mechanical, automotive and consumer products fields. He also handles UK and European Community registered designs and UK and European Community trade marks. He was made an associate in 2009.

- Diploma in Industrial Studies (DIS) from the University of Birmingham for a 14-month internship at BMW Manufacturing (UK) Plant Oxford, working on the new MINI

- AIPPI UK award (July 2011) for best contribution by a young attorney towards answers prepared by AIPPI UK to questions being considered at the October 2011 ExCo in Hyderabad, India (August 2011)
