Dr. Mark Bentall

Mark joined the firm in September 2003 having completed a research degree in Condensed Matter Physics at Oxford University.

Mark handles UK, European, and International patent filing and prosecution work in general. He has experience in the mechanical, electrical and electronic fields including telecommunications, integrated circuits, software and business methods. He also handles patent work in the oil, gas, marine and renewable energy sectors.

Mark also advises on design matters, including registering UK and European Community designs.

Outside work, Mark enjoys skiing, cycling and generally keeping active. Mark also enjoys travelling, having recently returned from a trip to Costa Rica.

  • Master in Science (MSci) in Physics with a year in Europe, Imperial College, London
  • D. Phil. in Condensed Matter Physics, Oxford University
  • Certificate in Intellectual Property Law, Queen Mary College, University of London
  • Chartered Patent Attorney, 2009
  • European Patent Attorney, 2010
